Topaz is a silicate mineral of aluminium and fluorine with the chemical formula Al₂SiO₃. It is used as a gemstone in jewelry and other adornments. Common topaz in its natural state is colorless, though trace element impurities can make it pale blue or golden brown to yellow orange. Topaz actually has an exceptionally wide color range that, besides brown, includes various tones and saturations of blue, green, yellow, orange, red, pink, and purple. It is often treated with heat or radiation to make it a deep blue, reddish-orange, pale green, pink, or purple.
Topaz is also pleochroic, meaning that the gem can show different colors in different crystal directions.
Blue Topaz Gemstone is a kind of Topaz that’s one of the most liked and valuable. Colorless Topaz stones are illuminated and heat-treated to display a series of blue hues, from pale sky blue to Swiss Blueto and Ashy blue. Glancing at Blue Topaz Gemstones will make you reminisce of the water, the wind, and the sky, basically all-natural elements that soothe your soul. Blue Topaz is an aluminium silicate with approximately 21% fluorine or water. Since natural blue Topaz gemstone is expensive and hard to come by, an experiment was conducted, and the results were made public in the 1970s. It successfully transforms colorless topaz into blue and is a reasonably priced gemstone.
